Weber Shandwick Hires Daniel Honigman As Digital Communications Supervisor
Thursday, May 28, 2009 CHICAGO – May 28, 2009 – Weber Shandwick today announced that Daniel Honigman will join the firm’s Chicago office as a digital communications supervisor on June 8th.
Honigman, previously the social media strategist and editorial engagement strategist at Tribune Interactive, was the creator of “Colonel Tribune,” the Chicago Tribune’s widely-embraced web ambassador that has become one of the more popular Twitter and web personalities run by a traditional media organization. He is recognized for helping change the culture of mainstream media and the way it interacts with its digital audiences. Last year Honigman also co-founded Old Media, New Tricks, a site targeted toward people working in “mainstream” media that provides tips about social and new media.
