MRM Worldwide Launches Intel® Core™ i7 in Argentina
NEW YORK—(March 5, 2009)–The Buenos Aires, Argentina, office of MRM Worldwide has developed an integrated campaign for that country’s launch of the Intel® Core™ i7, the new processor that is considered to be the best on the planet available in consumer products.
The objective was to generate awareness and create interest in this powerful new processor among the general public.
In addition to out-of-home ads placed in subways and the main shopping malls of Buenos Aires, the agency created an online campaign that consisted of banner ads on high-traffic portals and computer retailer sites; a micro-site with information about the processor; a digital contest; a Facebook app that included trivia about the processor’s characteristics; and a Google “ad words” campaign, segmented by consumer profiles.
The initiative was designed to create demand of the product and to drive potential buyers to retailer Web sites and physical stores.
As such, “Proyecto i7,” a digital contest was launched in which consumers could test their abilities and creativity using the advanced capabilities of the processor. The contest winner will receive a computer equipped with the new Intel® Core™ i7 processor and a sum of money for training purposes. The contest categories include video editing, 3D modeling, animation and music composition.
